Robotics Jobs in Mountain View: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a robotics job in Mountain View?
Focus your search on Mountain View's North Bayshore and Shoreline West corridors, where autonomous vehicle, drone, and industrial automation companies are most concentrated. Employers in these areas hire heavily for systems integration, motion planning, and embedded software roles. Candidates who can demonstrate hands-on lab or field experience with real hardware, and who have worked in fast-paced product-focused teams, tend to move through hiring fastest in this market.
Which companies hire roboticss in Mountain View?
Mountain View robotics roles are posted by DeepMind, Rhoda AI, and General Motors and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local employer base includes established technology companies, early-stage robotics startups, and research-oriented firms developing autonomous systems and intelligent hardware products.
Are there remote robotics jobs in Mountain View?
Yes, though remote work is limited in robotics because most roles require physical access to hardware, test facilities, or lab environments. About 16% of robotics openings tied to Mountain View are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to be simulation engineering, software architecture, or technical program management positions rather than hands-on build or test roles.
How can I get a robotics job in Mountain View with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Mountain View is through a robotics technician or associate systems engineer role at one of the city's many hardware-focused startups, which often prioritize demonstrated project work over formal credentials. Building a portfolio with open-source robotics projects, contributing to competitions, or completing co-ops with companies in the North Bayshore area can all open doors. Contract and vendor roles at larger Mountain View technology campuses are another common first step into full-time positions.
Which industries hire the most roboticss in Mountain View?
Mountain View robotics roles concentrate in Automotive, Electronics & Hardware, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive local hiring because Mountain View's technology ecosystem draws companies building autonomous systems, AI-integrated hardware, and advanced manufacturing tools that require specialized robotics talent at every stage of the product lifecycle.
