Gearhart’s Cabinet Corporation is seeking an experienced Construction Accounting Manager for our Temecula office. We are a commercial cabinetry and millwork contractor looking for someone who understands the day-to-day accounting demands of construction and can take ownership of our office financial processes.
This is a hands-on position responsible for customer billing, progress billing, retainage tracking, lien releases, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor payments, and payroll. The role also includes entering and maintaining invoices, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports with our accountant, and handling the miscellaneous accounting and administrative tasks that come with keeping projects and the office running smoothly.
The right candidate has direct experience in construction accounting, stays organized across multiple active jobs, and follows through on billing and collections. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise 2024 Contractors Edition is strongly preferred.
Duties
- Prepare customer invoices and construction progress billings; track retainage through final payment.
- Prepare and track conditional and unconditional lien releases.
- Manage accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and keep job payment records current.
- Enter vendor invoices, manage accounts payable, and schedule vendor payments.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee pay records.
- Maintain job costs and accounting records in QuickBooks Enterprise 2024 Contractors Edition.
- Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates to company leadership.
- Prepare financial information and reports in coordination with the company’s accountant.
- Keep billing, payment, and project documentation organized across multiple active jobs.
- Handle other accounting and office administrative tasks as needed.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
