JOB DETAILS
Are you a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with a passion for construction, and can just get the job done? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Permanent Superintendent/Construction Manager to join our team. This role is instrumental in leading, managing, and coordinating all phases of construction projects from start to finish. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on a variety of challenging projects and to play a key role in shaping the built environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent/Construction Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all stages of project life cycle management, including project planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Ensuring all construction activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Developing and implementing project schedules and budgets, and monitoring progress to ensure objectives are met.
- Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, and ensuring they understand and adhere to job site safety standards.
- Reviewing work progress on a daily basis and resolving any emerging issues.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and meetings, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Superintendent/Construction Manager, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on safety management.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in managing all phases of construction projects, from conception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software.
- In-depth understanding of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to influence a positive safety culture.
- Valid certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training or similar is a plus.
