Job Title: Roofing Sales Representative — Self-Generated / High Commission Split
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Duval, Clay, Nassau, St. Johns & Putnam counties)
Job Type: Contract (1099) — Commission Only
Pay: $60,000 – $150,000 per year (commission)
About Us
We're an established, state-licensed roofing contractor serving Northeast Florida — residential and commercial, shingle, metal, tile, and flat. We're growing our retail sales team and looking for 1–2 producers who want to build something, not just collect a paycheck. Company name shared once we connect — we keep our postings confidential.
The Role
This is self-generated retail sales. You knock doors, work your network, inspect roofs, document what you find with photos, and present honest findings to homeowners. When a roof needs work, you sell the job. When it doesn't, you tell the homeowner the truth and offer our maintenance program instead — that's how we build customers for life.
How You Get Paid
- 50% of net profit on jobs you generate yourself
- 40% of net profit on company-provided leads
- Half paid when the customer's deposit clears, half at final payment
- Net profit is defined in writing before you sign — no mystery math. We'll walk you through a real example on a sample job in the interview.
What We Provide
- Business cards, branded shirts and hats
- Advertising materials and yard signs
- CompanyCam account for photo documentation
- Full production support — our crews do the work, you keep the customer happy
- Training on roof inspection and our sales process
Who We're Looking For
We are roofers. Not closers, not pitch artists — roofers who know how to sell. If your background is roofing, construction, or trades and you can talk to homeowners in plain language, we'll sharpen your sales side. If your background is door-to-door (solar, pest, alarms) and you're tired of high-pressure tactics, we'll teach you roofs.
What you need:
- Self-motivated — nobody hands you leads here; the ones who win knock doors every week
- Comfortable on ladders and roofs
- Reliable vehicle and smartphone
- Honest. We do not pressure homeowners, ever. If that's your style, this isn't your spot.
What This Is Not
- Not salaried. Not hourly. Commission only — real earners prefer it that way.
- Not insurance/storm chasing. This is retail sales done right.
- Not a lead-fed desk job. You build your own book and get paid like an owner for it.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $128,433.90 per year
Work Location: In person

Roofing Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a roofing job in Jacksonville?
The strongest path into roofing work in Jacksonville is connecting directly with residential contractors and storm-damage restoration companies concentrated in Southside, the Northside corridor, and the fast-growing suburbs of St. Johns County. Candidates who can point to experience with Florida-style shingle, metal, or flat roofing systems stand out, as does familiarity with the pace of post-hurricane repair cycles that drive a large share of local demand.
Which companies hire roofings in Jacksonville?
Employers hiring roofings in Jacksonville right now include Advanced Roofing, Tecta America, and Roof Riders, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is anchored by a mix of regional roofing contractors, national restoration franchises, and commercial construction firms serving Jacksonville's ongoing commercial and multifamily development boom.
Are there remote roofing jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though remote work is uncommon for hands-on roofing roles since most positions require on-site installation, inspection, or repair. About 50% of roofing openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be estimating, project coordination, or sales roles rather than field positions.
How can I get a roofing job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Jacksonville is applying as a roofing helper or laborer with one of the residential contractors active in Southside or the Northside growth corridors, where high project volume means crews hire entry-level workers regularly. Local trade programs at Florida State College at Jacksonville can also open doors, and demonstrating a willingness to work in Florida's heat and a clean driving record are both practical edges employers here consistently mention.
Which industries hire the most roofings in Jacksonville?
The sectors hiring the most roofings in Jacksonville are Construction & Real Estate and Chemicals & Materials, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Jacksonville's combination of rapid residential expansion in its southern suburbs and a steady cycle of storm-related commercial repair work keeps demand elevated across all of those sectors.
