What You’ll Do
- Deliver code-compliant fire and life safety solutions including fire sprinklers, gaseous agents, fire detection, toxic gas detection, smoke modeling, and explosion prevention.
- Take ownership as Engineer of Record, guiding teams and collaborating with senior design professionals.
- Interface directly with clients and local code officials to ensure compliance and excellence.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models and design systems such as fire alarms, smoke and leak detection, security, and intrusion detection.
- Apply Life Safety & Fire codes and industry standards to produce calculations, specifications, network diagrams, and detailed construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D formats.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in fire protection engineering and life safety systems design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
- Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements
- Knowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and manufacturers’ equipment, including VESDA systems
- Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM and Leak Detection
- Knowledge of design and construction specifications
- Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Experience leading projects and managing resources
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Design Management experience
- Design experience in semiconductor or data centers
- Working knowledge of 3D BIM software (Revit)

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $152,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
