Sales And Marketing Specialist Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales and marketing specialist in Louisiana?
Most Louisiana employers require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field as the foundation for this role. Louisiana does not require a state-issued license to work as a sales and marketing specialist, though professionals selling certain financial products or real estate must hold the relevant Louisiana state license. Building a portfolio of campaign results, internship experience at a New Orleans or Baton Rouge company, and proficiency in CRM tools strengthens any application considerably.
How much do sales and marketing specialists make in Louisiana?
Sales and marketing specialists in Louisiana earn a median of about $59,690 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $32,130 for the lowest 10% to over $111,550 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales and marketing specialists in Louisiana?
Employers hiring sales and marketing specialists in Louisiana right now include Tulane University, Good Day Farm, and Campus Apartments, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisiana's energy, healthcare, gaming, and food and beverage sectors are among the most consistent sources of full-time openings for this role.
Which Louisiana cities have the most sales and marketing specialist jobs?
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Louisiana are the Louisiana cities with the most sales and marketing specialist openings. New Orleans leads because of its dense concentration of hospitality, tourism, and healthcare employers, while Baton Rouge draws demand from petrochemical companies and state government contractors, and Shreveport supports openings through its regional healthcare systems and gaming industry anchors.
Are there remote sales and marketing specialist jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, and more than most fields, since much of the work involves digital campaigns, CRM management, and virtual client communication. About 22% of sales and marketing specialist openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of many marketing functions. Strategy, content, and paid media roles tend to be the most remote-friendly, while field sales and event marketing positions almost always require an in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a sales and marketing specialist in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or sales development representative role, which large Louisiana employers like Ochsner Health and Entergy post regularly as stepping stones into specialist positions. Completing an internship with a New Orleans-area agency or a Baton Rouge corporate marketing team builds the portfolio that hiring managers look for. Adjacent roles in customer service, retail sales, or communications provide transferable skills, and earning a Google Ads or HubSpot certification gives candidates without a deep resume a concrete credential to cite.
Where can I find and apply to sales and marketing specialist jobs in Louisiana?
You can find and apply to sales and marketing specialist jobs in Louisiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles that match your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
