Security Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a security manager job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's largest hiring sectors: corporate campuses in Buckhead and Midtown, hospital systems and healthcare networks throughout the metro, and the financial services firms clustered downtown. Candidates who hold a Certified Protection Professional designation or prior experience managing security operations for multi-site facilities stand out in Atlanta's competitive market. Tailoring your resume to reflect physical security, vendor management, or regulatory compliance gives you a clear edge with local employers.
Which companies hire security managers in Atlanta?
Employers hiring security managers in Atlanta right now include PwC, DHL, and Akima, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's hiring mix typically includes large corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, property management firms, and public venues tied to the city's conventions and entertainment economy.
Are there remote security manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though remote availability is limited since most security manager roles require on-site oversight of personnel, facilities, or physical access systems. About 47% of security manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to involve cybersecurity policy, compliance program management, or corporate security consulting rather than hands-on operations roles.
How can I get a security manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving up from a security supervisor or coordinator role at one of the city's large property management companies, hospital networks, or hotel groups in areas like Buckhead or Midtown. Atlanta's convention and entertainment venues also hire security leads who can grow into manager-level positions. Earning a CPP or PSP credential while working a supervisory role signals readiness for management and gets attention from Atlanta employers promoting from within.
Which industries hire the most security managers in Atlanta?
The sectors hiring the most security managers in Atlanta are Technology & Software, Automotive, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's role as a major corporate headquarters hub, combined with its large healthcare presence and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport driving logistics and facilities demand, keeps hiring across those sectors consistently active.
