Security Researcher Jobs in Chantilly: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a security researcher job in Chantilly?
The strongest path into Chantilly's security researcher market runs through defense contractors and intelligence community support firms clustered in Westfields and along Route 50. Candidates with active security clearances, hands-on vulnerability research experience, and familiarity with federal frameworks like NIST and CMMC stand out most. Targeting firms that hold DoD or IC contracts gives you access to the densest concentration of open roles in the area.
Which companies hire security researchers in Chantilly?
Companies currently hiring security researchers in Chantilly include VTG Defense, CACI International, and Booz Allen Hamilton, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Chantilly's employer base skews heavily toward large defense primes, cleared IT service providers, and specialized cybersecurity firms supporting federal agencies.
Are there remote security researcher jobs in Chantilly?
Yes, though availability varies significantly by role type: analytical and malware research positions tend to support remote work, while roles requiring lab access or classified network work are almost always on-site. Hybrid arrangements are most common at commercial cybersecurity consultancies operating out of Westfields.
How can I get a security researcher job in Chantilly with little or no experience?
