ABOUT THE JOB
At Colle McVoy, our Senior Strategists have a passion for tapping the full power of a brand to solve problems and inspire inventive creative solutions, including creative campaigns and activations; design efforts, including visual identity, retail and digital experiences; paid, owned and earned-media concepts and more. As a proactive thinker, doer, creator, and explorer, a Senior Strategist will thrive in helping cross-functional teams navigate through the gray toward fresh concepts that move both people and business results.
Responsibilities
- Make an impact that leads to great work as the senior strategist on multiple client businesses.
- Connect client objectives with audience needs by crafting actionable insights, compelling narratives, and a strategic POV grounded in cultural signals and business implications.
- Turn large, messy datasets into actionable narratives by combining human judgment with AI-enabled analysis.
- Design mixed-method research approaches (qualitative, quantitative, behavioral, platform data) for client and new business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems and inform brand strategies and go-to-market strategies across social, digital, content and brand experience.
- Translate business objectives into actionable strategies that inspire creative solutions, and synthesize complexity into clear, inspiring strategy that teams can act on.
- Facilitate productive dialogue between creative, media, data, and client teams; drive alignment across stakeholders with proactive, transparent communication.
- Stay informed about cultural trends, consumer behavior, emerging technologies, social media, creator culture, and influencers to identify innovative opportunities for strategic growth.
- Ground strategies in solid business understanding and effectiveness goals.
- Support agency growth goals in digital innovation, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion by representing these viewpoints in strategy development.
- Help teams use AI tools effectively without replacing strategic judgment and contribute to team morale.
- Build repeatable AI-enabled workflows that increase speed and option generation, while identifying where human judgment must override automation.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Writes clear, inspiring briefs with crafted insights, and authors robust strategic POVs based on cultural signals that connect data to business implications.
- Creates insight frameworks that teams reuse across projects and generates insights visible in final creative and product output.
- Uses narrative and evidence to drive decisions and facilitates workshops and working sessions effectively.
- Creates deliverables that elevate team standards and synthesizes complexity into clear, inspiring strategy.
- Develops enduring client relationships and acts as a trusted advisor within client teams.
- Unlocks higher performance in teams through clarity and coaching; mentors associate strategists and strategists.
- Allocates work effectively across skill levels and tools and improves efficiency through better processes and AI workflows.
- Balances speed with rigor; knows when "good enough" is the right call and proactively flags trade-offs with recommended solutions before they become problems.
- Identifies where human judgment must override automation and builds repeatable AI-enabled processes for teams.
ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 4+ years of strategic planning or a strategically driven role required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, research and synthesis platforms) in day-to-day strategic work.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
At the time of posting, the base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000. Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness options, agency perks, and the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
