About us
At Parafin, we’re on a mission to grow small businesses. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but traditional banks often don’t have their backs. We build tech that makes it simple for small businesses to access the financial tools they need through the platforms they already sell on. We partner with companies like DoorDash, Amazon, Worldpay, and Mindbody to offer fast and flexible funding, spend management, and savings tools to their small business users via a simple integration. Parafin takes on all the complexity of capital markets, underwriting, servicing, compliance, and customer service for our partners. We’re a tight-knit team of innovators hailing from Stripe, Square, Plaid, Coinbase, Robinhood, CERN, and more — all united by a passion for building tools that help small businesses succeed. Parafin is backed by prominent venture capitalists including GIC, Notable Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Ribbit Capital, and Thrive Capital. Parafin is a Series C company, and we have raised more than $194M in equity and $340M in debt facilities. Join us in creating a future where every small business has the financial tools they need.
About The Position
We're looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own Parafin's visual identity across every surface: website, social media, blog, paid ads, video, events, and more. You'll be the creative force behind how Parafin looks and feels in the world. This role is about more than making things look good. You'll bring strategic thinking to brand consistency, help us scale our visual system, and collaborate across teams to produce high-quality work that reflects who we are and the mission we're on. If you love building brands from the inside out and want your work to support small businesses, you'll feel right at home here. This role sits on the design team and partners closely with marketing to bring the brand to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and evolve Parafin's visual identity, maintaining the brand system and building out templates and components. Maintain and scale a brand asset library and style guide so the whole company can stay on-brand.
- Concept and execute marketing campaigns across web, social, paid ads, email, blog, and video, from initial idea to final delivery.
- Design, build, and maintain website assets and pages, partnering with marketing and engineering to keep our web presence polished, modern, and up to date.
- Art-direct and produce video and motion content for social, ads, and web: hands-on or through vendors.
- Collaborate with the product design team to accurately represent and market our product, highlighting key features, maintaining visual consistency, and ensuring product visuals reflect the real experience we deliver.
- Create event and office materials such as posters, signage, swag, and internal communications.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve how Parafin shows up in the market, finding gaps in the brand system and proposing how to fill them before being asked.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of visual/brand design experience
- A versatile brand and graphic designer with a strong portfolio spanning digital and print. Comfortable working across mediums: web, social, print, environmental, and motion.
- Experience owning a visual identity end-to-end, from brand strategy and ideation to execution and rollout.
- Experience leading or contributing to a rebrand or brand refresh.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and AI tools in your design workflow.
- Excellent typography, layout, and composition skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Familiarity with web design principles and asset handoff for digital production.
- Autonomous enough to take a brief and run with it, and strong enough as a communicator to present and defend creative decisions to stakeholders.
We Prefer If You Have
- Experience working on brand design in fintech, B2B SaaS, or financial services.
- Motion design or animation skills (After Effects, Lottie, etc.).
- Photography or art direction experience.
What We Offer

Tips for Your Senior Brand Designer Job Search
Tailor your portfolio for brand depth
Recruiters for senior brand designer roles want to see full brand systems, not just polished one-offs. Lead with two or three case studies that show your thinking from brief to brand guidelines, including logo evolution, typography rationale, and real-world application.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists senior brand designer openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Reframe your resume around brand ownership
Generic design credits won't distinguish you at the senior level. Rewrite each bullet to show what you owned: the brand refresh you led, the system you scaled across product lines, or the team you directed through a rebrand launch.
Target openings by industry fit not just title
Senior brand designer expectations differ sharply between a DTC startup and a Fortune 500 in-house team. Read the job description for signals like 'brand standards governance' or 'campaign execution' and match your cover note to the specific context, not a generic template.
Prepare a design critique walkthrough
Many senior brand designer interviews include a live portfolio critique or a take-home brief. Practice narrating your decisions out loud, anticipating questions about trade-offs, and defending choices without the slides doing the talking for you.
Negotiate scope before accepting an offer
Before you accept, clarify what 'senior' means at that company: ask whether you will own brand strategy, manage junior designers, or primarily execute. Misaligned expectations about scope are the most common reason senior brand designers leave within a year.
Senior Brand Designer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most senior brand designers?
The companies hiring the most senior brand designers right now include Brex, Ghafari Associates, and NOCD, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Michigan, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. In-house tech and consumer brands tend to post the highest volume of senior-level roles.
How many senior brand designer jobs are remote?
About 48% of senior brand designer openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting steady demand for distributed creative talent. Brand strategy and brand systems roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while positions tied to physical retail, packaging, or events more often require on-site presence.
How do you become a senior brand designer?
You become a senior brand designer by accumulating hands-on experience leading brand projects from concept through delivery, not just executing tasks. Build a portfolio that includes full identity systems you owned, seek roles that involve presenting to stakeholders, and develop fluency in brand strategy so you can connect visual decisions to business goals. Mentorship under a creative director accelerates the transition.
Can you get hired as a senior brand designer with limited experience?
You can be competitive for some senior brand designer roles with fewer years of experience if your portfolio shows the depth and ownership that the title implies. Freelance rebrands, passion projects with full brand system documentation, and strong case studies explaining strategic rationale can compensate for a shorter resume, particularly at startups or smaller in-house teams.
What does the senior brand designer interview process look like?
The senior brand designer interview process typically starts with a recruiter screen focused on background and culture fit, followed by a portfolio review with a creative director or design manager. Most companies then assign a take-home design brief or ask you to critique an existing brand. Final rounds usually include a stakeholder or executive presentation, where you walk through your thinking and field strategic questions.
Where can I find and apply to senior brand designer jobs?
You can find and apply to senior brand designer jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States. Search the listings to find roles that match your background, then apply directly to each one that fits. New openings are added regularly, so checking back often gives you access to the latest postings before they fill.
