Meet the Team:
The Market Insights team delivers the market intelligence behind executive decision-making at Cisco. We size markets, track the competitive landscape, and analyze customer behavior to inform where Cisco invests, builds, and competes.
We’re a team of analysts, data scientists, engineers, and market intelligence leaders focused on the practical application of data to hard business problems. Using proprietary data and machine learning, we surface new market opportunities and flag risks early. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll sit between our data architecture and the strategic decisions it informs.Working with experts from the team, you’ll build the analytical solutions and dashboards that support the market insight analysis in the team and help visualize to give executives clear understanding into market performance— sizing opportunities, measuring how we’re performing against them, and translating what the data says into recommendations leaders can act on.
Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Run deep-dive analyses across large, disparate datasets — internal telemetry, third-party analyst data, public financial disclosures — to identify trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities in the global technology market.
- Market Sizing& Forecasting: Build and maintain TAM models and forecasts for priority segments, tracking forecast accuracy and refining methodology over time.
- Visualization: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards that turn complex datasets into insight an executive can absorb in two minutes.
- Gen AI Integration: Apply LLMs and agentic workflows to synthesize unstructured sources — analyst reports, earnings calls, customer feedback — and to accelerate recurring reporting and narrative development.
- Data Modeling: Architect and optimize the data models behind our analytical platforms for accuracy, scalability, and performance, and continuously improve the collection and reporting workflows that feed them.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Work with Sales, Product Management, and Strategy to turn open business questions into analytical work, and own the reporting cadence that supports their planning.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field — Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science — or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or a comparable visualization platform.
- Strong grounding in data modeling, relational databases, and data warehousing.
- Demonstrated experience applying LLMs to business problems — automating analysis, synthesizing unstructured data, or building agentic workflows.

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior business intelligence analyst job in Atlanta?
Atlanta's strongest hiring comes from its fintech corridor anchored in Buckhead, the healthcare systems headquartered around Midtown, and the major logistics and supply chain companies based in the metro. Candidates who combine SQL and visualization tool expertise with domain knowledge in one of those sectors move fastest. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and experience presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders consistently stand out in Atlanta interviews.
Which companies hire senior business intelligence analysts in Atlanta?
Employers hiring senior business intelligence analysts in Atlanta right now include BDO, Cisco, and Diasorin, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's employer mix ranges from Fortune 500 headquarters and major health systems to fast-growing fintech firms and global logistics companies, all of which maintain active BI functions locally.
Are there remote senior business intelligence analyst jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, senior business intelligence analyst work is well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements given its analytical and desk-based nature. About 100% of senior business intelligence analyst openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly Atlanta employers have embraced flexible work for data roles. Dashboard development, reporting, and ad hoc analysis are the functions most commonly offered remotely.
How can I get a senior business intelligence analyst job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving into a junior BI analyst or data analyst role at one of the city's mid-size fintech or healthcare firms, which tend to invest in growing internal talent. Georgia Tech and Georgia State both produce strong BI pipelines, so employers here are accustomed to hiring candidates who pair a relevant degree with internship experience. Building proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker alongside a portfolio of real analysis projects noticeably shortens the path to a senior title.

Atlanta's position as a hub for payments technology, major hospital networks, and one of the country's busiest cargo airports creates sustained local demand for BI professionals across all three areas.
