Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Senior Product Manager for Visa Device Intelligence, you will help build device intelligence and risk decisioning products that protect the global payments ecosystem while enabling low-friction digital commerce. You will develop solutions using device signals, behavioral patterns, machine learning, and analytics to help Visa, issuers, merchants, fintechs, and partners identify trusted devices, detect anomalous activity, reduce fraud, and improve authorization and authentication outcomes. You will also help shape Visa’s near- and long-term strategy for device intelligence, device fingerprinting, risk signals, and fraud prevention capabilities, and deliver a roadmap that brings that strategy to life. This role sits at the intersection of product management, data science, platform capabilities, fraud risk, identity, and digital payments.
A strong candidate should have hands-on experience with device fingerprinting technologies, including device attributes, browser and mobile signals, network and behavioral signals, probabilistic and deterministic device recognition, model performance, signal quality, privacy considerations, and fraud and risk use cases. The ideal candidate will also have experience leading data-driven product discovery, launching technical products, and translating complex data science and machine learning concepts into scalable product capabilities.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- 5+ years of product management experience in data, risk, fraud, identity, authentication, cybersecurity, payments, or platform products.
- Hands-on experience with device fingerprinting, including device, browser, mobile, network, and behavioral signals; deterministic and probabilistic recognition; signal quality; privacy; and fraud/risk use cases.
- Strong understanding of fraud use cases such as account takeover, card-not-present fraud, bot attacks, and suspicious device behavior.Experienc
- e partnering with data science, machine learning, or analytics teams on models, risk scores, features, experiments, and performance measurement.
- Ability to use SQL and analytics to assess performance, investigate trends, validate hypotheses, and guide roadmap decisions.
- Strong technical knowledge of data platforms, APIs, event streaming, cloud systems, instrumentation, and backend architecture.
- Experience building products at scale with requirements for low latency, high availability, data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems and complex data into clear product strategy, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience in payments, digital identity, fraud prevention, or fintech is preferred.
