Senior Clinical Project Manager Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior clinical project manager in Arkansas?
Most Arkansas employers require a bachelor's degree in a clinical or life sciences field, with a master's preferred for senior roles at research-intensive institutions like UAMS. There is no state-issued license specific to clinical project management in Arkansas, but earning credentials such as the CCRP through the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the PMP through PMI significantly strengthens candidacy. Building experience through clinical research coordinator or associate PM roles at Arkansas hospital systems or contract research organizations is the most common path upward.
How much do senior clinical project managers make in Arkansas?
Senior clinical project managers in Arkansas earn a median of about $77,170 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,620 for the lowest 10% to over $133,420 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior clinical project managers in Arkansas?
Arkansas senior clinical project manager roles are posted by Southwest Power Pool, L3Harris, and Mercy and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. UAMS and its affiliated research centers are among the most consistent sources of senior-level clinical research openings in the state.
Which Arkansas cities have the most senior clinical project manager jobs?
Little Rock, Bentonville, and Rogers are the Arkansas cities with the most senior clinical project manager openings. Little Rock anchors the market because it is home to UAMS and several major hospital networks, while Fayetteville and Springdale benefit from the growing healthcare infrastructure tied to the large corporate headquarters and employer-sponsored health systems concentrated in the Northwest Arkansas corridor.
Are there remote senior clinical project manager jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than many clinical roles allow, since a meaningful share of senior project management work involves coordination, documentation, and vendor oversight that can be done off-site. About 41% of senior clinical project manager openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader industry flexibility for experienced managers. Regulatory affairs coordination, sponsor-facing project oversight, and multi-site trial management are the functions most commonly offered in a remote or hybrid arrangement.
How can I get hired as a senior clinical project manager in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a clinical research coordinator role at UAMS, Baptist Health, or one of the contract research organizations that support Arkansas-based trials, where you gain hands-on trial management experience from the ground up. From there, lateral moves from roles like research nurse, regulatory affairs associate, or study coordinator are the most common bridges to a project manager title. Earning the CCRP early and volunteering on institutional review board committees or quality assurance projects within large health systems helps distinguish candidates who are building toward a senior PM role.
Where can I find and apply to senior clinical project manager jobs in Arkansas?
