Senior Clinical Research Scientist Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior clinical research scientist job in Brooklyn?
Focus on Brooklyn's academic medical centers, biotech firms at the Navy Yard, and health system research divisions in central Brooklyn, as these employers hire most consistently for senior-level roles. Candidates with therapeutic area depth in oncology, cardiovascular, or rare disease, plus hands-on Phase II through Phase IV trial management, stand out. Building relationships through clinical research networks based in the borough also gives a real edge over remote applicants.
Which companies hire senior clinical research scientists in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn senior clinical research scientist roles are posted by New York University, Etsy, and SYNCHRON and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The borough's employer mix ranges from large academic hospital systems conducting investigator-initiated studies to early-stage biotech companies operating out of life sciences campuses like Industry City and the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Are there remote senior clinical research scientist jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, though remote availability is limited given that most senior clinical research scientist work requires on-site trial oversight, patient interaction, and direct CRO coordination. About 0% of senior clinical research scientist openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the remote portions most common in data review, protocol writing, and regulatory submission work rather than site monitoring or specimen handling.
How can I get a senior clinical research scientist job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is through a clinical research coordinator or research associate role at one of the borough's hospital systems or affiliated research institutes, where internal promotion to senior scientist is common. Entry-level candidates who complete GCP certification and gain hands-on trial coordination at Brooklyn-area sites build the strongest local profile. Volunteering with community health research programs operating in Flatbush or Brownsville can also open doors to institutional hiring pipelines.
Which industries hire the most senior clinical research scientists in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn senior clinical research scientist roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's combination of a large underserved patient population, established academic medical infrastructure, and growing life sciences real estate has made these sectors the primary drivers of local clinical research hiring.
