Entry Level Senior Proposal Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior proposal manager job?
Entry level senior proposal manager roles typically look for candidates who can demonstrate clear writing, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines at once. Internship experience in proposal writing, grants, or government contracting gives you a concrete edge. A portfolio of writing samples, even from coursework or volunteer work, signals readiness. Tailor each application to the specific contract or sector the employer works in.
Which companies hire entry level senior proposal managers?
Companies hiring entry level senior proposal managers right now include Medpace, Collabera, and GFT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, government contractors, consulting firms, and nonprofits tend to be the most active hirers, as these organizations run frequent proposal cycles that create openings for candidates who are newer to the field.
Are there remote entry level senior proposal manager jobs?
Yes, though most postings at the entry level skew toward on-site or hybrid arrangements. About 24% of entry level senior proposal manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so fully remote roles exist but are less common than in more experienced tiers. Searching by location preference on Migrate Mate lets you filter for the work setting that fits.
Are these new grad senior proposal manager jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior senior proposal manager roles. A posting qualifies as new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or part-time work as qualifying background, or explicitly invites candidates who can demonstrate relevant skills through a portfolio rather than a long employment history. Checking the requirements section of each listing confirms what experience level the employer will consider.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior proposal managers?
Entry Level senior proposal manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Manufacturing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they run ongoing competitive bidding processes and need junior proposal staff who can support senior writers, manage deadlines, and help produce compliant submissions as part of a larger team.
