Entry Level Senior Researcher Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior researcher job?
Entry level senior researcher roles reward candidates who can show hands-on research experience, even from coursework, internships, or independent projects. Employers at this level look for familiarity with research methodologies, data analysis tools, and clear written communication. A well-organized portfolio that demonstrates how you frame a research question and present findings gives you a concrete edge over candidates who rely on credentials alone.
Which companies hire entry level senior researchers?
Companies hiring entry level senior researchers right now include Lila Sciences, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Bloomberg, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from a mix of large research-driven organizations, consulting firms, and technology companies that bring on junior researchers to support established teams.
Are there remote entry level senior researcher jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up a meaningful share of entry level openings. About 20% of entry level senior researcher openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates open to flexible arrangements will find options alongside traditional office-based positions. Searching with a location preference set to remote can help surface those listings quickly.
Are these new grad senior researcher jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad friendly and include junior and recent graduate roles alongside entry level listings. A new grad posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and treats internships, capstone research, or a portfolio as qualifying credentials. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'junior,' or 'new graduates encouraged to apply' as reliable signals that a role is open to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior researchers?
Entry Level senior researcher roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to drive junior hiring because they run ongoing research programs that depend on building analyst and researcher pipelines from the ground up.
