We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with hands-on Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM experience to support our client, a local government in Miami-Dade county.
US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.

Position Overview
The Senior Software Developer will support the Remedy ITSM platform, focused on billing workflows, financial data integration, and ERP connectivity. This is a hands-on role troubleshooting failed billing tasks, updating workflow configurations, and stabilizing systems for fiscal year-end close-out. The consultant will work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, especially around fiscal close windows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM applications, with an emphasis on billing workflows and integrations.
- Troubleshoot chartfields, financial data structures, and custom billing/invoicing workflow failures.
- Integrate Remedy / Helix ITSM with ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft / INFORMS).
- Analyze failed billing tasks, identify root causes, and reprocess workflow items end-to-end.
- Update billing logic, automation rules, and workflow configurations.
- Support fiscal year-end preparation, billing rate updates, and stabilization of workflows for financial close-out.
- Develop and modify dashboards within Remedy / Helix ITSM.
- Produce strong documentation for system changes, configurations, and knowledge-transfer activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years hands-on with Remedy or BMC Helix ITSM development and configuration, specifically in billing workflows and integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with chartfields, financial data structures, and custom billing/invoicing workflows.
- Demonstrated experience integrating Remedy / Helix ITSM with ERP systems (preferably PeopleSoft / INFORMS).
- Ability to analyze failed billing tasks, identify root causes, and reprocess workflow items.
- Experience updating billing logic, automation rules, and workflow configurations.
- Proficiency in fiscal year-end preparation, billing rate updates, and stabilizing workflows for financial close-out.
- Experience developing or modifying dashboards within Remedy / Helix ITSM.
- Strong documentation skills for system changes, configurations, and knowledge-transfer.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines (e.g., fiscal close).
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Additional related work experience and/or certifications may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred (Bonus)
- Prior work with a Florida public-sector agency.
- Experience with PeopleSoft / INFORMS financial modules.
- BMC Helix or Remedy certifications.
Compensation
This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $70 per hour or $140,000 per year.
