INTRODUCTION
Cloud Engineer
The Opportunity:
Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply specific functional knowledge, including working and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
You Have:
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments, including security, automation, and scalability
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and cloud networking configurations such as VPC peering, subnets, VPNs, and security groups
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Experience supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, including preparing System Security Plans (SSP), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and maintaining compliance with DoW governance frameworks and NIST requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering in lieu of a degree

- Experience working in DoW or IC environments
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Google Professional Cloud Architect Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
