We are currently seeking a talented clinician to join our team as Staff Development/Infection Control Nurse (Registered Nurse, RN).
This is a unique exempt leadership position that combines Infection Control surveillance and Infection Prevention program with staff development and education. Must hold an unencumbered RN license in the State of New Hampshire.
Responsibilities of Staff Development/Infection Control RN:
- Develops, implements, and maintains an effective training program for new and existing Clinical Staff
- Provides reporting and recommendations to Administrator concerning in-service training programs, submits requests for tools, training, and resources required to meet professional standards.
- Assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the in-service education programs that inspire staff and promote and maintain high competencies in skilled nursing and long-term care.
- Plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and oversee the infection prevention and control program in accordance with current regulations and guidelines governing skilled nursing and long-term care.
- Work with the Clinical Leadership to ensure that the facility is in compliance with current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, OSHA, and local regulatory bodies concerning infection prevention, education and control.
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding new or significant trends in infections or communicable diseases and inform the Infection Prevention and Control Committee.
