Social Media Content Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a social media content in Tennessee?
Tennessee does not require a state-issued license to work in social media content. Most employers in Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville look for a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field combined with a portfolio of real published work. Building experience through internships at Tennessee media companies, healthcare systems, or regional brands, and earning platform certifications from Meta or Google, gives candidates a concrete edge in the local job market.
How much do social media contents make in Tennessee?
Social media contents in Tennessee earn a median of about $69,790 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,480 for the lowest 10% to over $134,740 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire social media contents in Tennessee?
Employers hiring social media contents in Tennessee right now include State Farm, Corpay, and C Spire, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Tennessee's concentration of healthcare systems, entertainment labels, and regional retail headquarters means in-house content roles are widely distributed beyond a single industry.
Which Tennessee cities have the most social media content jobs?
Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville account for the largest share of social media content openings in Tennessee. Nashville drives the bulk of demand thanks to its headquarters-dense economy in healthcare, music, and hospitality, while Memphis and Knoxville add volume through logistics firms, university-affiliated institutions, and regional consumer brands that maintain active content teams.
Are there remote social media content jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 15% of social media content openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how naturally suited the work is to distributed teams. Roles focused on copywriting, content scheduling, and analytics tend to be the most remote-friendly, while positions requiring on-site video shoots or in-person brand activations are typically hybrid or fully on-site.
How can I get hired as a social media content in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a public portfolio before applying. Create and manage content for a local nonprofit, campus organization, or small Tennessee business to demonstrate measurable results. Large Tennessee employers like HCA Healthcare and Vanderbilt University post coordinator and associate content roles suited to candidates with limited work history. Lateral moves from customer service, journalism, or graphic design roles are also common, and earning a free platform certification from Meta or Google strengthens an otherwise thin resume.
Where can I find and apply to social media content jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to social media content jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings from employers across the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each one.
