Social Media & Content Manager
Skye Link Media · Charlotte, NC (Hybrid / In-Person at Enventys Studios) Type: Part-time or Full-time · W-2 or 1099 contractor Pay: $25 to $38/hr, or $50,000 to $65,000/year for full-time, depending on experience
About the Role
We're looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to own how our content gets made for social and how it reaches people, across our own brand, our founder's channels and our client accounts.
Our editors, designers and producers make great content. This role makes sure it gets seen. You understand social media and distribution, you help shape the strategy, and then you execute it: setting up and running channels, creating posts, planning releases, publishing it right, and showing what's working. You'll work closely with our founder and a small, fast-moving team, and use AI to help us publish like a much bigger one.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks strategically, loves building systems, and gets things out the door.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Help shape social and distribution strategy for our brand and our clients: which channels, which formats, what cadence, and what each audience should do next
- Build release calendars and launch rollouts around each audience and call to action
- Track performance and report what's working in real numbers (views, clicks, sign-ups, inquiries), then turn it into what we change next
Execution
- Set up and manage YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn channels for our brand and our clients
- Create posts yourself, including captions, carousels, text and B-roll posts, and short cutdowns
- Own publishing: titles, thumbnails, descriptions, captions, scheduling and release timing
- Manage music licensing and rights clearance so nothing gets claimed or taken down
- Brief and coordinate with our designers and editors, and move deliverables through client approvals on schedule
- Build AI workflows for research, repurposing, captioning and resizing, with human review before anything goes live
Ideal Fit
You are:
- 2+ years running social for a brand, agency or creator, with channels you can show grew because of you
- Someone who can explain why a strategy should work, then roll up your sleeves and make it happen
- Strong on YouTube: search, packaging, retention and the Studio back end
- Experienced building channels from zero or turning existing accounts around
- Using AI tools in your daily work, including but not limited to Claude, ChatGPT, VEED, CapCut and Runway, with opinions on what to automate and what never to fake
- Organized and process-minded: you build the checklist, then follow it
- Proactive and comfortable owning your work without constant direction
Bonus if you:
- Have worked with music licensing platforms (Soundstripe, Artlist, Epidemic or similar)
- Have run Meta or LinkedIn ads
- Have agency or client-facing experience
- Can design in Canva or Adobe
Compensation
- $25 to $38/hr, or $55,000 to $70,000/year for full-time, depending on experience
- Open to part-time or full-time, W-2 or 1099 contractor, depending on the right person
Why This Role
- Work directly with our founder and a growing media and production team
- Shape social and distribution strategy, and see it through
- Help build AI-powered content workflows for our brand and our clients
- Room to grow into owned media, AI content products for clients, and your own creator projects
Start: As soon as Late November or December
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with links to channels or work you've grown. Candidates who look like a strong fit will receive a short questionnaire (between 5-10 minutes) before first-round interviews.

Social Media Content Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a social media content in North Carolina?
North Carolina does not require a state-issued license to work in social media content. Most employers hire candidates who hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field and can show a portfolio of published work. Completing recognized industry certifications from Meta Blueprint or HubSpot strengthens applications. Larger North Carolina employers in banking, healthcare, and higher education often post entry roles that prioritize portfolio quality alongside formal education.
Which companies hire social media contents in North Carolina?
Employers hiring social media contents in North Carolina right now include Wray Ward, TransPerfect, and Cambrie Media, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. North Carolina's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters in Charlotte, major research universities in the Research Triangle, and mid-size consumer brands across the state creates consistent and varied demand for this role.
Which North Carolina cities have the most social media content jobs?
Charlotte, Raleigh, and Durham lead North Carolina in social media content openings. Charlotte's concentration of financial services firms and national retail brands drives high volume there, while Raleigh and Durham benefit from the Research Triangle's technology companies, universities, and healthcare systems that all maintain active content teams.
Are there remote social media content jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 63% of social media content openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, reflecting how naturally the work translates to distributed teams. Content strategy, copywriting, and analytics roles are the most frequently offered remotely, while roles tied to live event coverage or studio production tend to require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a social media content in North Carolina with little or no experience?
Building a self-directed portfolio on public social accounts or through volunteer work with local North Carolina nonprofits is the most realistic entry path. Large employers such as Duke University, UNC Health, and Centene's Charlotte offices regularly post coordinator and associate content roles that accept candidates without direct professional experience. Lateral moves from customer service, public relations, or campus communications are common, and completing a recognized platform certification gives early-career candidates a concrete credential to cite.
Where can I find and apply to social media content jobs in North Carolina?
You can find and apply to social media content jobs in North Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to those positions.
