Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Director of Creative Content is responsible for leading the vision, strategy, and execution of all creative initiatives for UNCW Athletics. This role oversees special projects, video board content, graphic design, and multimedia storytelling to elevate the department’s brand and support its mission. The Director plays a key role in shaping the visual identity of UNCW Athletics, ensuring that all creative content aligns with strategic goals and enhances the student-athlete experience. This includes producing high-impact visuals and engaging content that resonates with fans, recruits, and the broader university community.
In addition to creative leadership, the Director is responsible for recruiting, mentoring, and managing a dynamic team of full-time, temporary, and student staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and four years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment, of which one year is supervisory; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Two years or more experience managing, cultivating, and developing a team to run creative content creation and broadcast production.
- Adobe Creative Suite experience and skillset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
