Job Overview
What You'll Own
Flourishing Lives is looking for a content and social media specialist who knows what makes someone stop scrolling and can turn real moments from our clinics into content parents and professionals actually want.
This is not a role where you wait for a list of posts. You will learn what makes our pediatric occupational and speech therapy practice different, ask great questions of our therapists and leadership, spot the stories worth telling, and move quickly from idea to published content.
You should be the kind of person who walks out of a conversation with a therapist thinking, “Parents need to hear this,” then knows how to turn it into a Reel, short video, caption, carousels, or a simple campaign and can edit it fast without losing quality.
AI is welcome here as a speed tool, not a substitute for judgment. We want someone who already uses AI to draft, repurpose, and tidy work faster, then puts a human finish on anything that represents our brand.
Content Creation and Social Media
- Help shape and execute a practical content plan (not a 40-page strategy deck).
- Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other channels that fit.
- Film with our team in our clinics (St. Clair Shores and Rochester).
- Interview therapists, leadership, and subject-matter experts. Ask questions that draw out useful, compelling answers.
- Spot content opportunities without waiting to be assigned every idea.
- Edit short-form (and occasional longer) video quickly in CapCut, Adobe, or similar including AI-assisted editing when it helps.
- Repurpose one strong piece into multiple formats and platforms.
- Write hooks, captions, short scripts, and posts that sound like a real person and still fit our brand.
- Keep a simple production system so good ideas don’t sit unfinished.
- Stay current on platform trends and ignore the ones that don’t fit us.
Working with AI (as a multiplier)
We want someone who is already using AI, not someone who is just starting to experiment with it. You will:
- Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and AI editing features to speed research, drafts, captions, repurposing, and light analysis.
- Build simple repeatable workflows (prompts, templates, batching) so content moves faster.
- Never publish generic AI fluff, especially not about our kids, families, or clinical work.
What this role is not
- You are not primarily our Google Ads / Meta Ads manager, SEO lead, or website developer.
- You may support campaigns and website updates later as the role grows; those are not the core of this hire.
Who We're Looking For
You are someone who:
- Has hands-on content and social experience they can show.
- Understands short-form content and what makes people stop scrolling.
- Films and edits video confidently and quickly.
- Writes extremely well in a human voice.
- Asks thoughtful questions and draws great material out of busy clinicians.
- Already uses AI in a real workflow, not as a novelty.
- Manages multiple pieces of content without needing every step mapped out.
- Notices opportunities and acts on them.
- Is curious about our families, our therapists, and why people choose Flourishing Lives.
Most importantly, you think. We want someone who gets curious about what we’re building and helps us tell that story well.
Tools You May Work In
Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar AI creative tools. You don’t need every tool on day one. You do need to learn quickly.
About Flourishing Lives
Flourishing Lives is a pediatric occupational and speech therapy practice with locations in St. Clair Shores and Rochester, Michigan.
Our approach is different from traditional pediatric therapy. We believe in understanding the whole child, supporting regulation and connection, partnering with parents, and helping children flourish rather than simply teaching them to perform.
We are growing, and we have bigger plans than simply filling therapy schedules. We want to educate families and professionals, develop resources and programs, and bring what makes Flourishing Lives special to a much larger audience.
We need someone who is excited to help us tell that story.

Social Media Content Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a social media content in Michigan?
There is no state-issued license or registration required to work in social media content in Michigan. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, combined with a strong portfolio. Many Michigan candidates build early experience through university marketing departments, student organizations at schools like Michigan State or Wayne State, or internships with Detroit-area brands before moving into full-time roles.
Which companies hire social media contents in Michigan?
Michigan social media content roles are posted by Grounded RV, TREETOPS RESORT, and ClearVue Disposal and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Michigan's concentration of automotive headquarters, regional retail chains, and large health systems means steady in-house demand for social media content professionals beyond agency work.
Which Michigan cities have the most social media content jobs?
Flint, Detroit, and Gaylord have the most social media content openings in Michigan. Detroit leads because of its dense base of automotive brands, large nonprofits, and corporate headquarters, while Grand Rapids draws demand from its growing healthcare and consumer goods sectors, and Ann Arbor's tech and university ecosystem supports a consistent need for content talent.
Are there remote social media content jobs in Michigan?
Yes, and more than most fields, since social media content work is largely screen-based and does not require physical presence. About 60% of social media content openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's compatibility with distributed work. Content strategy, copywriting, and analytics functions are most likely to be fully remote, while roles involving on-site video production or community event coverage typically require local presence.
How can I get hired as a social media content in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a portfolio through freelance or volunteer work before applying to coordinator-level roles. Michigan candidates often start by managing social channels for local nonprofits, campus organizations at schools like Central Michigan University or Oakland University, or small Detroit-area businesses. Large Michigan employers like Beaumont Health and Meijer hire entry-level content associates and marketing coordinators that serve as a direct pipeline into dedicated social media roles, and completing a recognized digital marketing certificate strengthens any application without prior full-time experience.
Where can I find and apply to social media content jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to social media content jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current Michigan openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit. No account creation is required to view openings.
