About the Role:
The Manager, Software Engineering leads a team of software engineers, owning delivery, quality, and the growth and development of the team. The role balances people leadership with technical oversight, partnering with product and design to ship high-impact work. It exists to build a high-performing engineering team that delivers reliable, high-quality product capabilities for Crexi.
What You'll Do:
- Leads, develops, and grows a team of software engineers, owning performance and development through the Engagement Review framework, including Success Plans where needed.
- Owns the team's delivery, quality, and operational health, partnering with product and design on roadmap and priorities.
- Provides technical oversight and guidance, ensuring sound architecture, code quality, and engineering standards.
- Drives team planning, execution cadence, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Drives adoption of AI-assisted development tooling across the team to improve quality and velocity.
- Recruits, hires, and onboards engineers, and fosters an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
- Removes blockers and manages cross-team dependencies to keep delivery on track.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years managing engineers preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in our Playa Vista, California location is $204,000 to $276,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, education, geographic location, etc. Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc ("Crexi") is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
