Solutions Architect Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a solutions architect job in Los Angeles?
The strongest entry point in Los Angeles is targeting the city's entertainment technology, defense, and cloud infrastructure sectors, where demand for solutions architects is highest. Roles concentrate in El Segundo, Playa Vista, and Culver City with aerospace and streaming tech employers, and in downtown Los Angeles with financial services firms. Candidates who can demonstrate multi-cloud architecture experience and stakeholder communication skills stand out in this market.
Which companies hire solutions architects in Los Angeles?
Employers hiring solutions architects in Los Angeles right now include Deloitte, Stantec, and Exponent, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles draws a mix of entertainment conglomerates, defense contractors, health systems, and high-growth technology startups, giving solutions architects a wide range of industries and company sizes to target.
Are there remote solutions architect jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role's focus. Client-facing and on-premises infrastructure work typically requires in-person presence, while cloud strategy and pre-sales architecture positions are more commonly offered remotely. About 27% of solutions architect openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. Roles aligned with streaming, SaaS, or enterprise software tend to offer the most flexibility in this market.
How can I get a solutions architect job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving laterally from a systems administrator or cloud engineer role, which several mid-size technology firms and managed service providers in the San Fernando Valley and South Bay actively hire. Earning a major cloud certification and building a portfolio around a specific vertical like media or healthcare gives candidates a concrete edge with Los Angeles employers who prize industry fluency alongside technical depth.

Los Angeles solutions architect roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's unique combination of entertainment and media production, defense and aerospace primes in El Segundo, and a fast-growing digital health corridor drives consistent demand for solutions architects across those sectors.
