Strategy Analyst Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy analyst job in Boston?
Focus your search on Boston's three biggest hiring centers: the Financial District for asset managers and banks, the Seaport for tech and consulting firms, and the Longwood corridor for hospital systems and life sciences companies. Candidates with experience in financial modeling, competitive analysis, or healthcare operations have the strongest edge locally. Networking through Boston-area MBA programs and industry groups also opens doors faster than cold applications.
Which companies hire strategy analysts in Boston?
Employers hiring strategy analysts in Boston right now include State Street, Klaviyo, and Motional, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's market is particularly strong in large hospital systems, regional banks, management consulting firms with downtown offices, and mid-size technology companies headquartered in the Seaport and Back Bay.
Are there remote strategy analyst jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: research-heavy and financial analysis positions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while strategy roles tied to healthcare operations or on-site consulting teams usually require in-person presence. About 83% of strategy analyst openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among consulting firms and corporate strategy teams in the Seaport.
How can I get a strategy analyst job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through a rotational analyst program at one of the city's major hospital systems, financial services firms, or management consulting offices. Look for titles like junior strategy analyst, business analyst, or operations analyst at employers in the Financial District and Longwood Medical Area. A strong analytical project, even from a capstone or internship, and familiarity with Excel-based financial modeling will differentiate you from other entry-level applicants in this market.
Which industries hire the most strategy analysts in Boston?
Most strategy analyst openings in Boston sit in Technology & Software and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's concentration of world-class academic medical centers, a deep bench of asset managers along the Financial District, and a growing Seaport technology sector create sustained, year-round demand for strategy analysts across all experience levels.
