INTRODUCTION
The GTM Strategy & Operations Analyst will join a global team driving Datadog's next phase of growth. We are interdisciplinary thinkers with diverse backgrounds across investment banking, management consulting, investment management, strategy, and operations. Our team partners directly with Datadog's senior leaders to set growth strategy, improve business efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and run complex operations across the company.
In this role, you will be embedded within Sales as a dedicated operational partner to field managers and Account Executives. You will help manage account flow across sellers, support day-to-day field operations, and stay close to the sales floor to understand the challenges sellers face. You will use those insights to build processes, analyses, and lightweight tools that help the field move faster and operate more effectively. A key focus of this role will be identifying opportunities to incorporate AI into core workflows to improve both the speed and quality of operational support.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You'll Do:
- Own core account management processes for a Sales segment, including account distribution, account movement, account prioritization, and coverage optimization across teams and AEs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on account management operations, advising sales leaders on territory structure, account flow, and opportunities to improve seller coverage.
- Support field decision-making through business reporting and analysis, including quarterly business reviews, performance metrics, root cause analysis, pipeline health, and coverage gap identification.
- Act as the dedicated operational point of contact for regional AEs and frontline managers, handling ad hoc operational requests and supporting Salesforce hygiene, including opportunity updates, field accuracy, and pipeline cleanliness.
- Resolve Rules of Engagement conflicts as an impartial advisor to the field, balancing speed, fairness, and alignment to Datadog's core sales processes.
- Experiment with and embed AI into field support workflows, including prototyping lightweight automations, AI-assisted analyses, and ecosystem integrations that help AEs and managers take faster, better-informed action.
- Develop a deep understanding of seller workflows and operational pain points, then design process improvements and build business cases for enhancements based on field-observed inefficiencies.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Global Strategy & Operations to ensure process changes, tooling updates, and data governance decisions are implemented cleanly and adopted by the field.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of experience in GTM, Revenue, Sales Operations, Strategy & Operations, or a related analytical role, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth B2B technology company.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using Excel or Google Sheets to organize data, conduct analysis, and generate insights.
- Effective written and verbal communicator who can clearly explain operational issues, recommendations, and next steps to cross-functional partners.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple requests, track follow-through, and maintain accuracy in fast-moving environments.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high ownership, and the ability to operate independently with guidance.
- Curious learner who enjoys picking up new tools, systems, and business processes.
- Collaborative problem-solver who enjoys working closely with others to improve how teams operate.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working directly with frontline sales teams in a field-facing operations role.
- Prior experience with GTM functions, revenue operations, sales strategy, or growth strategy initiatives.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools, prompt engineering, workflow automation, or lightweight tool prototyping.
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits and Growth:
- Continuous training and career growth
- New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
- Generous and competitive US benefits
- Friendly and inclusive workplace culture
Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Strategy Analyst Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy analyst job in Boston?
Focus your search on Boston's three biggest hiring centers: the Financial District for asset managers and banks, the Seaport for tech and consulting firms, and the Longwood corridor for hospital systems and life sciences companies. Candidates with experience in financial modeling, competitive analysis, or healthcare operations have the strongest edge locally. Networking through Boston-area MBA programs and industry groups also opens doors faster than cold applications.
Which companies hire strategy analysts in Boston?
Employers hiring strategy analysts in Boston right now include PwC, Klaviyo, and ZS Associates, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Boston's market is particularly strong in large hospital systems, regional banks, management consulting firms with downtown offices, and mid-size technology companies headquartered in the Seaport and Back Bay.
Are there remote strategy analyst jobs in Boston?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: research-heavy and financial analysis positions tend to be the most remote-friendly, while strategy roles tied to healthcare operations or on-site consulting teams usually require in-person presence. About 55% of strategy analyst openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among consulting firms and corporate strategy teams in the Seaport.
How can I get a strategy analyst job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boston is through a rotational analyst program at one of the city's major hospital systems, financial services firms, or management consulting offices. Look for titles like junior strategy analyst, business analyst, or operations analyst at employers in the Financial District and Longwood Medical Area. A strong analytical project, even from a capstone or internship, and familiarity with Excel-based financial modeling will differentiate you from other entry-level applicants in this market.
Which industries hire the most strategy analysts in Boston?
Most strategy analyst openings in Boston sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Boston's concentration of world-class academic medical centers, a deep bench of asset managers along the Financial District, and a growing Seaport technology sector create sustained, year-round demand for strategy analysts across all experience levels.
