Strategy Jobs in Columbus: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a strategy job in Columbus?
Target Columbus's densest hiring clusters: the financial services and insurance firms anchored downtown, the health system and hospital networks concentrated on the east and west sides, and the growing tech and retail corporate headquarters around Easton and the Short North. Candidates who combine analytical rigor with direct experience in one of those sectors move fastest. A strong network through Columbus-area business schools or local professional groups also helps.
Which companies hire strategys in Columbus?
Employers hiring strategys in Columbus right now include JPMorganChase, NetJets, and McKesson, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Columbus draws a wide mix of large corporate headquarters, regional health systems, and mid-sized financial and insurance firms, all of which maintain internal strategy functions.
Are there remote strategy jobs in Columbus?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role. Strategy work that is primarily analytical or advisory tends to be more remote-friendly, while roles tied to on-site operations or stakeholder facilitation usually require in-person presence. About 33% of strategy openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with corporate strategy and planning roles leading that share locally.
How can I get a strategy job in Columbus with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Columbus is through rotational or analyst programs at the city's large health systems, insurance carriers, and retail corporate offices, which regularly hire early-career candidates into business analyst or strategic planning associate roles. Demonstrating Excel modeling skills, familiarity with financial analysis, or experience through Columbus-area university capstone projects can differentiate an entry-level application. Lateral moves from finance, operations, or consulting also convert well locally.
Which industries hire the most strategys in Columbus?
Most strategy openings in Columbus sit in Banking & Financial Services, Fintech, and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Columbus's role as a major insurance and financial services hub, combined with several large health system headquarters and a growing retail and tech corporate presence, keeps demand for strategy professionals consistently active across those sectors.
