Entry Level Strategy Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level strategy manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and familiarity with frameworks like competitive analysis or market sizing. Internships in consulting, business operations, or corporate strategy carry real weight. Tailoring your resume to show a concrete project outcome, even from a class or internship, gives you a clear edge over candidates who list only responsibilities.
Which companies hire entry level strategy managers?
Companies hiring entry level strategy managers right now include DoorDash, JPMorganChase, and ZS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large corporations with formal rotational programs and mid-size companies building out their strategy functions for the first time.
Are there remote entry level strategy manager jobs?
Yes, though fully remote postings are less common at the entry level than in some other fields. About 38% of entry level strategy manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to hybrid or on-site roles will see a broader set of opportunities than those filtering for fully remote only.
Are these new grad strategy manager jobs?
Yes. These listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with zero to two years of experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it accepts internship experience in place of full-time history, mentions a degree as the primary qualification, or calls out that a portfolio or capstone project can substitute for on-the-job credentials.
Which industries hire the most entry level strategy managers?
Entry Level strategy manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive entry level hiring because they are scaling quickly, building internal strategy capabilities, or running structured graduate programs that feed directly into manager-track roles.
