Student Success Coordinator Jobs in Oklahoma: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a student success coordinator in Oklahoma?
Most Oklahoma employers require at least a bachelor's degree in education, counseling, psychology, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred for senior roles. There is no state-issued license specific to student success coordinators in Oklahoma, but positions at institutions receiving federal funding often expect familiarity with Title IV regulations and student privacy law. Gaining experience through academic advising, tutoring coordination, or student affairs roles at an Oklahoma community college or university is the most direct path.
Which companies hire student success coordinators in Oklahoma?
Employers hiring student success coordinators in Oklahoma right now include University of Oklahoma, OU Health, and Behavioral Innovations, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Oklahoma's large public university systems and community college networks, including the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education system, account for a significant share of ongoing openings.
Which Oklahoma cities have the most student success coordinator jobs?
Oklahoma City, Norman, and Enid have the most student success coordinator openings in Oklahoma. Oklahoma City and Norman lead because of their concentration of major universities, community colleges, and state agency offices, while Tulsa's strong presence of higher education campuses and workforce development programs drives demand there as well.
Are there remote student success coordinator jobs in Oklahoma?
Yes, but they're less common, because student success coordination typically involves direct student interaction, advising appointments, and on-campus programming that benefits from in-person presence. About 0% of student success coordinator openings tied to Oklahoma are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be concentrated in administrative coordination, data reporting, or online program support roles rather than direct advising positions.
How can I get hired as a student success coordinator in Oklahoma with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in a paraprofessional or student worker role within a college's advising, tutoring, or retention office, then transitioning into a coordinator title. Oklahoma community colleges such as Rose State College and Tulsa Community College regularly hire program assistants and retention specialists who are new to the field. Adjacent roles like academic coach, financial aid counselor, or admissions advisor are common stepping stones, and completing a master's program in higher education or student affairs significantly strengthens your candidacy at Oklahoma's four-year institutions.
Where can I find and apply to student success coordinator jobs in Oklahoma?
