Supplier Quality Engineer Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a supplier quality engineer in New Hampshire?
Supplier quality engineers in New Hampshire are not required to hold a state-issued license, so the path centers on education and certification. Most employers hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field. Earning credentials such as the Certified Quality Engineer designation through ASQ strengthens a candidacy considerably. New Hampshire's defense and aerospace manufacturers also value hands-on familiarity with AS9100 and supplier audit practices before hiring.
How much do supplier quality engineers make in New Hampshire?
Supplier quality engineers in New Hampshire earn a median of about $101,310 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $78,430 for the lowest 10% to over $155,010 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire supplier quality engineers in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire supplier quality engineer roles are posted by BAE Systems USA, L3Harris, and Trigo and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Hampshire's concentration of defense contractors and precision manufacturers along the I-93 and Route 3 corridors generates particularly consistent demand for supplier quality roles.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most supplier quality engineer jobs?
Nashua, Manchester, and Hudson have the most supplier quality engineer openings in New Hampshire. Manchester and Nashua lead because of the dense cluster of defense electronics, medical device, and advanced manufacturing employers in the southern tier, while Portsmouth draws openings tied to its maritime and aerospace supplier networks along the Seacoast.
Are there remote supplier quality engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, but they're rare. Supplier quality engineering is fundamentally a hands-on role requiring on-site supplier audits, incoming inspection, and production floor assessments, which limits remote options significantly. About 67% of supplier quality engineer openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve documentation review, corrective action coordination, or supplier development work rather than physical inspection duties.
How can I get hired as a supplier quality engineer in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a quality technician or quality inspector role into an engineering position as you build credentials. New Hampshire manufacturers such as BAE Systems and Benchmark Electronics hire quality technicians and co-op students directly from programs at UNH and SNHU, creating a practical bridge. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Technician credential and gaining exposure to ISO documentation or PPAP submissions makes candidates competitive for junior supplier quality roles without prior engineering titles.
Where can I find and apply to supplier quality engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to supplier quality engineer jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state's manufacturing and defense sectors. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
