Tax Associate Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax associate job in Miami?
Focus on firms and employers concentrated in Brickell's financial corridor and Coral Gables, where international tax work is especially active given Miami's role as a gateway for Latin American business. Candidates with bilingual Spanish ability and exposure to cross-border tax issues stand out locally. Targeting mid-size CPA firms, private equity-backed companies, and multinational regional headquarters gives you the strongest footing in this market.
Which companies hire tax associates in Miami?
Employers hiring tax associates in Miami right now include KPMG, BDO, and CBIZ, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's employer mix skews toward international firms, financial services companies, and regional offices of national accounting and professional services firms.
Are there remote tax associate jobs in Miami?
Yes, though tax associate roles are only moderately remote-friendly since client interaction, document review, and in-office collaboration are common. About 17% of tax associate openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with most flexibility found in research-heavy or compliance-focused positions. Roles at larger firms in Downtown Miami and Brickell tend to offer the most hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a tax associate job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is joining a regional CPA firm or a mid-size accounting practice in Coral Gables or Doral, where staff turnover creates consistent junior openings. Many local firms hire recent accounting graduates as tax staff or associate-level interns during busy season, using that as a pipeline. A passing score on one or more CPA exam sections and any exposure to international tax software gives candidates a visible edge in Miami's globally oriented market.
Which industries hire the most tax associates in Miami?
Miami tax associate roles concentrate in Accounting & Auditing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's status as a regional hub for Latin American commerce drives outsized demand in financial services and professional services, where cross-border tax compliance work is a consistent need.
