Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Tax Professional to oversee complex tax filings and deliver proactive, strategic tax planning. You will manage a diverse portfolio of individual and corporate clients, working closely with them to optimize tax positions and ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate possesses deep tax knowledge, exceptional client-service skills, and a proven track record of minimizing tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and thoroughly review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Tax Planning & Strategy: Advise clients on advanced tax strategies, uncovering deducations and credits to minimize long-term tax liabilities.
• Client Advisory: Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries, conducting financial analysis and explaining complex tax concepts in an approachable manner.
• Compliance & Research: Stay continuously updated on changing tax laws and codes. Research highly complex tax issues and ensure all files adhere to IRS and state regulations.
• Audit Support: Assist and represent clients during IRS and state tax audits, gathering necessary financial documentation and drafting responses to tax authorities.
• Staff Mentorship: Review returns and provide training or technical guidance to junior staff and entry-level accountants.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related filed (Master's degree in Taxation or Accountancy preferred).
• Certification: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential.
• Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in tax preparation, planning, and compliance, preferably within a public accounting firm.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in professional tax software (e.g., UltraTax CS, ProConnect, Lacerte) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, keen attention to detail, and top-tier written/verbal communication skills.
