Tax Senior Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax senior job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's Camelback Corridor and Downtown core, where regional CPA firms, real estate investment groups, and financial services companies hire most actively. Candidates with pass-through entity experience and familiarity with Arizona-specific filing requirements stand out locally. Targeting mid-size regional firms first tends to open doors faster than approaching the national Big Four directly.
Which companies hire tax seniors in Phoenix?
Employers hiring tax seniors in Phoenix right now include CBIZ, HCVT, and KPMG, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Phoenix's mix of regional CPA firms, real estate developers, and corporate tax departments at Fortune 500 regional headquarters makes for a broad and active local hiring market.
Are there remote tax senior jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though availability varies by specialty, since client-facing advisory and audit-support work tends to require in-office time while pure tax compliance and review work is more portable. About 54% of tax senior openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote options appearing most often for federal and state income tax compliance roles at larger corporate employers.
How can I get a tax senior job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is starting as a tax staff associate at a regional firm in the Camelback Corridor or Tempe, then stepping into a senior role after two to three busy seasons. Local firms that serve real estate and construction clients are especially active in developing staff-level hires. Earning your CPA while in a staff role accelerates the move to senior significantly in this market.
Which industries hire the most tax seniors in Phoenix?
Phoenix tax senior roles concentrate in Accounting & Auditing, Staffing & Recruiting, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Phoenix's growth as a Sun Belt real estate hub and its expanding base of financial services and corporate back-office operations drive steady demand across those sectors year-round.
