Accounts Receivable Assistant Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a accounts receivable assistant in Arizona?
Accounts receivable assistant roles in Arizona do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect at least an associate degree in accounting or business, though some accept equivalent experience in bookkeeping or billing. Earning a nationally recognized credential such as the NACM Credit Business Associate designation strengthens your candidacy. Proficiency in ERP platforms common in Arizona industries, including SAP and Oracle, is a practical requirement for most posted openings.
Which companies hire accounts receivable assistants in Arizona?
Companies currently hiring accounts receivable assistants in Arizona include Raytheon, ASML, and Deloitte, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arizona's concentration of healthcare networks, aerospace manufacturers, and corporate shared-service centers means demand for accounts receivable assistants remains consistent across multiple sectors throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most accounts receivable assistant jobs?
Tucson, Tempe, and Phoenix have the most accounts receivable assistant openings in Arizona. The Phoenix metro dominates because it hosts the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, regional shared-service centers, and major healthcare networks, while Tempe and Scottsdale add volume through financial technology firms and professional services companies headquartered in the East Valley.
Are there remote accounts receivable assistant jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and remote options are reasonably common for this desk-based role. About 50% of accounts receivable assistant openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's strong fit with distributed finance teams. Invoice processing, collections follow-up, and reconciliation tasks are most often performed remotely, while roles requiring in-person handling of physical documents or direct lockbox processing tend to stay on site.
How can I get hired as a accounts receivable assistant in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for accounts payable clerk or billing coordinator roles at large Arizona employers, then moving laterally into accounts receivable once you have working knowledge of ERP systems and billing cycles.
