Audit Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an audit manager in Arizona?
Most Arizona employers require a CPA license issued or recognized by the Arizona State Board of Accountancy, which administers the Uniform CPA Examination and requires a bachelor's degree with sufficient accounting coursework. From there, candidates typically progress through senior auditor and audit supervisor roles before moving into management. For internal audit-focused positions, the CIA credential from the Institute of Internal Auditors strengthens a candidacy considerably.
How much do audit managers make in Arizona?
Audit managers in Arizona earn a median of about $79,970 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $55,430 for the lowest 10% to over $128,890 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire audit managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring audit managers in Arizona right now include State of Arizona, REDW, and onsemi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's large healthcare systems, financial services firms, and publicly traded mining and real estate companies are consistently among the most active sources of audit manager openings in the state.
Which Arizona cities have the most audit manager jobs?
Phoenix, Tempe, and Chandler have the most audit manager openings in Arizona. The Phoenix metro drives the majority of listings because it is home to the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, regional financial services operations, and major healthcare networks, while Tucson and Scottsdale contribute additional openings through their own banking, government, and technology employer bases.
Are there remote audit manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since audit managers in desk-based industries such as finance and technology can often lead teams and review workpapers remotely. About 60% of audit manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with fully remote arrangements most common in IT audit and financial services and hybrid schedules more typical for internal audit roles at healthcare or government employers.
How can I get hired as an audit manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is to enter through a staff or senior auditor role at one of Arizona's large public accounting firms or internal audit departments, such as those at Banner Health, major Phoenix-area banks, or state agencies that run structured rotation programs. Building toward a CPA license with the Arizona State Board of Accountancy and earning an entry-level CIA or CISA credential signals seriousness to hiring managers and accelerates the move into supervisory and then management roles.
Where can I find and apply to audit manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to audit manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and location preference, and apply directly to the ones that match.
