Accounts Receivable Assistant Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an accounts receivable assistant in Florida?
Florida does not require a state-issued license to work as an accounts receivable assistant. Most employers look for an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or business, along with hands-on experience in billing or bookkeeping. Completing a community college accounting program at institutions such as Valencia College or Miami Dade College is a common entry path. A credential like the NACM's Credit Business Associate designation can strengthen a candidate's profile.
Which companies hire accounts receivable assistants in Florida?
Companies currently hiring accounts receivable assistants in Florida include Wesco, Hilton, and WCMIortho, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of large healthcare networks, hospitality corporations, and real estate management firms means consistent demand for accounts receivable support across the state.
Which Florida cities have the most accounts receivable assistant jobs?
Jacksonville, Orlando, and Largo lead Florida for accounts receivable assistant openings. Miami's density of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and healthcare systems drives the largest share of postings, while Tampa and Orlando generate strong demand through regional hospital networks, hospitality operators, and rapidly growing technology and logistics companies establishing Florida operations.
Are there remote accounts receivable assistant jobs in Florida?
Yes, and they're more common than in many finance roles because accounts receivable work is desk-based and software-driven. About 13% of accounts receivable assistant openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's compatibility with distributed teams. Invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and collections follow-up are the tasks most frequently performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as an accounts receivable assistant in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for an accounting clerk or billing coordinator role at a large Florida healthcare system or property management company, both of which regularly hire candidates without direct AR experience. Employers like HCA Healthcare and major South Florida property management firms run structured finance associate programs for recent graduates. Completing a bookkeeping or QuickBooks certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over other entry-level applicants.
Where can I find and apply to accounts receivable assistant jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to accounts receivable assistant jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings from employers actively hiring. Find the roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that match.
