Senior Level Team Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level team manager job?
Senior level team manager roles go to candidates who can demonstrate cross-functional leadership, a history of owning high-stakes outcomes, and the ability to develop other managers. Highlight initiatives you led end-to-end, the business results you drove, and how you built or scaled a team. Employers at this level want evidence of strategic thinking, not just day-to-day execution.
Which companies hire senior level team managers?
Companies hiring senior level team managers right now include State Farm, Amazon, and GFT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level covers large enterprises scaling operations, mid-size companies building out management layers, and fast-growing organizations that need leaders who can manage teams while shaping departmental strategy.
Are there remote senior level team manager jobs?
Yes, though many senior roles still favor in-person or hybrid arrangements given the collaboration and visibility they require. About 57% of senior level team manager openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, so strong remote options do exist. Searching by work setting on Migrate Mate lets you filter to openings that match your location preference.
What makes a team manager role senior level?
Senior level team manager roles carry broader scope, deeper ownership, and explicit accountability for developing others. Where a mid-level manager runs a team and executes a plan, a senior team manager shapes the plan, owns the outcomes, and is expected to mentor managers or leads beneath them. These roles influence hiring decisions, set standards, and are accountable for results across the wider function.
Which industries hire the most senior level team managers?
Senior level team manager roles concentrate in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to run complex, multi-team operations that require experienced managers who can handle organizational scale, coordinate across departments, and drive performance without close oversight from above.
