Technical Product Manager Jobs in Austin, TX

About Showroom Windows & Doors

Showroom Windows & Doors is a growing premium window and door company headquartered in Austin, Texas.

We specialize in high-end residential window and door replacement, working with homeowners, builders, architects, and designers throughout Central Texas.

We're investing in proprietary technology to transform how our team sells, designs, configures, and prices premium windows and doors.

Our vision is to create a technology-driven sales experience that makes complex product selection simple, improves sales efficiency, and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

We're calling this platform Showroom OS.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial technical leader to help bring Showroom OS from concept to reality.

This is not a traditional IT management position.

We're looking for someone who has personally designed, developed, and launched sophisticated software applications and can lead the development of a proprietary sales platform.

You will work directly with the Founder & CEO to translate business requirements into a scalable software product.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with product strategy, practical business judgment, and the ability to manage software development from initial concept through deployment.

You should be comfortable operating in a startup-style environment within an established, growing business.

Our goal is to hire someone who can own the technical execution of Showroom OS from the ground up.

What We're Building

Showroom OS will be an integrated sales and design platform used by our representatives on iPads and laptops during in-home consultations.

The platform will ultimately include:

1. Window & Door Configuration

An intuitive interface allowing sales representatives to configure premium windows and doors by selecting:

• Manufacturer and product series
• Window and door styles
• Dimensions and configurations
• Interior and exterior finishes
• Glass options
• Grilles, hardware, and accessories
• Installation requirements

The system must account for complex manufacturer-specific product rules and restrictions.

2. Automated Pricing Engine

A centralized pricing system capable of calculating accurate product and installation pricing.

This includes:

• Manufacturer pricing data and integrations
• Configuration-based pricing calculations
• Installation labor calculations
• Gross margin and markup controls
• Sales commission considerations
• Automated proposal generation
• Pricing validation and error prevention

3. Home Visualization

A visual sales experience allowing representatives to upload photos of customers' homes and demonstrate potential improvements.

Features may include:

• Window and door replacements
• Exterior paint and trim colors
• Shutters and architectural accents
• Exterior lighting
• Before-and-after comparisons

We intend to evaluate existing visualization technologies and integrate suitable solutions rather than unnecessarily developing everything from scratch.

4. Interactive Sales Experience

A polished, intuitive interface designed specifically for in-home sales consultations.

Features may include:

• Product education and comparisons
• Customer project galleries
• Before-and-after photography
• Interactive maps of completed projects
• Customer reviews and testimonials
• Proposal presentations
• Electronic approvals and signatures

5. CRM & Sales Workflow Integration

Integration with existing business systems to streamline:

• Customer information
• Sales opportunities
• Appointment workflows
• Proposal management
• Follow-up processes
• Sales reporting
