Technical Solutions Architect Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a technical solutions architect in New Hampshire?
Technical solutions architect is not a state-licensed role in New Hampshire, so there is no state board exam or registration required. Most employers in New Hampshire expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering, combined with several years of hands-on systems or solutions engineering experience. Earning a recognized vendor certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect strengthens candidates considerably in the competitive southern New Hampshire technology corridor.
How much do technical solutions architects make in New Hampshire?
Technical solutions architects in New Hampshire earn a median of about $125,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $76,080 for the lowest 10% to over $209,530 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire technical solutions architects in New Hampshire?
Companies currently hiring technical solutions architects in New Hampshire include BAE Systems USA, CVS Health, and GBG, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Hampshire's defense contracting base along the Route 101 and I-93 corridors, combined with financial services firms in Nashua and Manchester, means hiring activity tends to cluster around organizations managing large, complex infrastructure environments.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most technical solutions architect jobs?
The cities with the most technical solutions architect openings in New Hampshire are New Hampshire, Nashua, and Portsmouth. Manchester anchors the market as the state's largest city and home to several defense and technology employers, Nashua draws significant activity from its concentration of IT and financial services firms just north of the Massachusetts border, and smaller suburban hubs reflect the distributed footprint of defense contractors and managed service providers operating across southern New Hampshire.
Are there remote technical solutions architect jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields, since technical solutions architects work primarily with design documents, client presentations, and cloud-based tools rather than on-site hardware. About 73% of technical solutions architect openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the role's desk-and-collaboration nature. Pre-sales and cloud architecture work tends to be the most remote-friendly segment, while roles requiring on-site client engagement or classified defense work typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a technical solutions architect in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into the architect role from an adjacent position such as systems engineer, cloud engineer, or pre-sales technical consultant, which are common stepping-stone titles at New Hampshire defense contractors like BAE Systems and IT services firms in the Manchester-Nashua corridor. Building a portfolio of documented architecture designs, earning a foundational cloud certification, and targeting associate-level solutions engineer roles at managed service providers in southern New Hampshire gives candidates the evidence hiring managers look for when promoting from within or hiring externally.
Where can I find and apply to technical solutions architect jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to technical solutions architect jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find the roles that match your experience and preferred location or remote arrangement, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
