Solutions Architect Manager Jobs in New Hampshire: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions architect manager in New Hampshire?
Solutions architect manager roles in New Hampshire do not require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education and progressive technical experience. Most hiring managers expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, followed by several years in hands-on architecture or senior engineering roles before moving into team leadership. Earning a major cloud certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Microsoft Azure Expert-level credentials, significantly strengthens a candidacy in New Hampshire's defense and financial services markets.
How much do solutions architect managers make in New Hampshire?
Solutions architect managers in New Hampshire earn a median of about $125,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $76,080 for the lowest 10% to over $209,530 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire solutions architect managers in New Hampshire?
Employers hiring solutions architect managers in New Hampshire right now include BAE Systems USA, CVS Health, and GBG, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Southern New Hampshire's concentration of defense contractors and financial technology firms means demand tends to be most active in the Manchester and Nashua metro areas.
Which New Hampshire cities have the most solutions architect manager jobs?
New Hampshire, Nashua, and Merrimack account for the largest share of solutions architect manager openings in New Hampshire. Manchester and Nashua dominate because they anchor the state's technology corridor along Route 3 and Interstate 93, where BAE Systems, Fidelity, and a dense cluster of managed service providers and defense contractors are based, while Concord draws demand from state government IT modernization programs and regional financial institutions.
Are there remote solutions architect manager jobs in New Hampshire?
Yes, and more than most fields, since solutions architect management is fundamentally a desk-and-collaboration role that translates well to distributed work. About 72% of solutions architect manager openings tied to New Hampshire are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly tech employers have embraced flexible arrangements for senior architecture leadership. The most fully remote postings tend to involve cloud strategy and enterprise integration work, while roles with a heavy DoD or on-site client component are more likely to require regular presence.
How can I get hired as a solutions architect manager in New Hampshire with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a senior solutions architect, principal engineer, or technical lead role into a manager title, rather than targeting manager positions directly from mid-level work. New Hampshire employers such as BAE Systems and regional managed service providers regularly promote senior architects who demonstrate mentorship and stakeholder communication skills into their first management role. Building a portfolio that documents cross-functional architecture decisions, earning a cloud professional certification, and pursuing internal leadership opportunities in presales or delivery teams are the credentials that open that door fastest.
Where can I find and apply to solutions architect manager jobs in New Hampshire?
You can find and apply to solutions architect manager jobs in New Hampshire on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
