Solutions Architect Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions architect manager in Florida?
Florida does not require a state-issued license for solutions architect managers, so the path runs through education and credentials. Most hiring managers in Florida expect a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering, combined with progressive architecture experience. Earning a recognized cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional strengthens candidacy considerably, and Florida's large defense and government contractors often add a preference for a security clearance.
How much do solutions architect managers make in Florida?
Solutions architect managers in Florida earn a median of about $132,800 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $81,500 for the lowest 10% to over $184,680 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire solutions architect managers in Florida?
Employers hiring solutions architect managers in Florida right now include Humana, Citi, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of defense primes, major banks, and healthcare systems means demand is spread across several industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Florida cities have the most solutions architect manager jobs?
Tampa, Florida, and Miami have the most solutions architect manager openings in Florida. Miami's depth in financial services and international technology companies, Tampa's growing cybersecurity and professional services corridor, and Orlando's mix of hospitality technology, simulation, and defense contractors each drive consistent demand in their respective metros.
Are there remote solutions architect manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 79% of solutions architect manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the fundamentally desk-based and collaborative nature of the role. Presales and client-facing responsibilities sometimes require travel, but strategy, team leadership, and architecture review work are well suited to remote arrangements.
How can I get hired as a solutions architect manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from a senior individual-contributor architecture or technical lead role into a player-coach management position. Florida employers such as large defense contractors and regional healthcare IT firms commonly promote from within, so targeting associate solutions architect or cloud engineer roles at those organizations builds the right foundation. Completing an AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud professional certification before applying signals readiness for the management track.
Where can I find and apply to solutions architect manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to solutions architect manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Florida locations. Find roles that match your experience and apply directly to the ones that fit.
