Content Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content manager in Florida?
Content management in Florida does not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field. Building a portfolio of published content, managing editorial calendars, and gaining experience with SEO and CMS platforms are the concrete steps Florida hiring managers look for. Certifications from HubSpot, Google, or the Content Marketing Institute strengthen applications in Florida's competitive digital and hospitality markets.
Which companies hire content managers in Florida?
Employers hiring content managers in Florida right now include Pluno, Simpro, and Related, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's mix of major tourism brands, healthcare systems, and regional media companies means content manager openings appear across a wider range of industries than in most states.
Which Florida cities have the most content manager jobs?
Miami, Boca Raton, and Jacksonville have the most content manager openings in Florida. Miami leads due to its concentration of multinational brands, Spanish-language media, and hospitality groups, while Tampa's growing technology and financial services sector and Orlando's tourism and theme park industry each generate consistent demand for content professionals at multiple seniority levels.
Are there remote content manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields, because content management is inherently a desk-based, digital role. About 25% of content manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the broad shift toward distributed marketing teams. Strategy, editing, and SEO-focused roles are the most likely to be fully remote, while roles tied to on-site production or brand events typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a content manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a content coordinator or social media coordinator, roles that large Florida employers in hospitality, healthcare, and media regularly post for candidates without extensive experience. AdventHealth, Universal Orlando, and Florida-based regional news groups such as Gannett's Florida properties run marketing associate and digital media programs that serve as practical entry points. Building a portfolio through freelance work, campus publications, or nonprofit organizations in Florida strengthens an application considerably alongside any HubSpot or Google content certification.
Where can I find and apply to content manager jobs in Florida?
