Content Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a content manager in Texas?
Most content manager roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or journalism, though some employers accept equivalent experience. Texas does not have a state-issued license or registration for this role. Candidates typically build toward the position through roles in copywriting, social media coordination, or digital marketing, then move up after demonstrating ownership of content calendars, cross-functional collaboration, and measurable content performance.
Which companies hire content managers in Texas?
Employers hiring content managers in Texas right now include Braze, Aceable, and Digital Realty, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and fast-growing technology companies means consistent demand for content managers with both B2B and consumer-facing experience.
Which Texas cities have the most content manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Plano have the most content manager openings in Texas. Austin's density of technology firms and startups drives a large share of postings, Dallas attracts corporate marketing and media roles tied to its headquarters cluster, and Houston's energy, healthcare, and logistics sectors generate steady demand for content professionals at all levels.
Are there remote content manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 71% of content manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how well the work translates to distributed teams. Editorial strategy, content writing, and SEO program management are the functions most likely to be fully remote, while roles tied to event content or on-site brand activations tend to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a content manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a content coordinator or marketing associate role, which large Texas employers like H-E-B, USAA, and major university systems regularly post as junior positions that feed into content management. Building a portfolio through freelance projects, a company blog, or nonprofit communications work gives candidates a concrete edge. Adjacent roles in social media, internal communications, or email marketing are common lateral moves that lead to a content manager title within a few years.
