Position Purpose:
Oversee functions and processes required to ensure the quality and quantity of product details, including item descriptions, images, and essential item attributes used in eCommerce and related activities. Responsible for creating and tracking KPIs to ensure a consistent and measurable improvement in key data metrics. Work closely across multiple functional areas including sales & marketing, IT, data management, brands and category management. Assist in fulfilling the department's strategic goals to improve customer experience and sales team effectiveness through quality item data. Contribute to the organization's ability to improve search and the customer experience with improved product item details.
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate planning across multiple departments and key stakeholders to create a process to advance both quality and quantity of item data and item images.
- Develop and monitor reports on the progress of the company’s item data in its product catalog.
- Use data and knowledge of business objectives to identify opportunities for improvement by vendor, brand, or functional area.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to use analytics to demonstrate the impact of item data and image type on overall eCommerce results.
- Assist in identifying and understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies which negatively impact reaching objectives. Facilitate a process of continuous improvement and progress toward objectives.
- Direct and support consistent implementation of company initiatives and build peer support and strong internal company relationships with other key management personnel to fulfill objectives.
- Work with Sales, IT, Data Management, Category Management and other key stakeholders to provide input to item data quality and improvements to eCommerce platforms.
- Conduct industry and competitive research to understand trends, developments, innovations, and advances in the area of product data and digital shelf practices.
- Evaluate appropriate use of AI or other technologies to accelerate reaching strategic objectives.
- Propose innovative and creative solutions to reach objectives.
- Regularly publish updates to key stakeholders on progress and a roadmap for future efforts.
- Routinely audit existing systems and processes to ensure item data and image updates are flowing correctly through the system and being properly delivered to end users, both customers and internal users.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 1 - 3 years experience
