Regional Director Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional director in Florida?
Most regional director roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field, followed by several years of progressive multi-unit or department leadership. Florida does not issue a general regional director license, but roles in healthcare often require familiarity with Florida Agency for Health Care Administration regulations, and financial services roles may require FINRA licensing. Building a record of P&L ownership and team development at the district or area manager level is the most common promotion path.
How much do regional directors make in Florida?
Regional directors in Florida earn a median of about $108,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,660 for the lowest 10% to over $207,510 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional directors in Florida?
Employers hiring regional directors in Florida right now include FirstService Residential, Garver, and Guardian Outreach Ministries, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of large healthcare systems, national retail chains, and hospitality groups means regional director openings appear across a wide range of industries throughout the state year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most regional director jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Orlando are the Florida cities with the most regional director openings. Miami's density of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and healthcare networks drives the largest share of postings, while Tampa's growing technology and insurance sectors and Orlando's hospitality and healthcare infrastructure account for most of the remaining volume.
Are there remote regional director jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they are rare. Regional director roles are inherently field-based, requiring regular travel to supervised sites, so most positions are on-site or involve significant in-person time. About 40% of regional director openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those that do offer flexibility tend to be in sales, technology, or consulting verticals where oversight is metrics-driven rather than location-dependent.
How can I get hired as a regional director in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is moving into a district manager, area supervisor, or operations manager role first and building multi-site responsibility from there. Large Florida employers such as HCA Florida Healthcare and Publix run structured leadership development programs that promote from within, and many regional nonprofit networks offer associate director roles that provide comparable experience. Earning an industry-relevant credential, such as a healthcare administrator license through the Florida Board of Nursing Home Administrators or a project management certification, strengthens candidates making an early move into regional leadership.
Where can I find and apply to regional director jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to regional director jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metro areas. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly from the listing.
