Operational Excellence Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a operational excellence manager in Florida?
The typical Florida path starts with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business, or operations management, followed by hands-on process improvement experience in a Florida industry such as healthcare, logistics, or defense manufacturing. Florida does not require a state-issued license for this role, but employers consistently expect Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Many candidates build their credentials through employer-sponsored training programs at large Florida operations before stepping into a manager title.
How much do operational excellence managers make in Florida?
Operational excellence managers in Florida earn a median of about $101,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $48,670 for the lowest 10% to over $226,080 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire operational excellence managers in Florida?
Employers hiring operational excellence managers in Florida right now include Augmentis, Airbus, and Gilbane, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of large healthcare systems, aerospace manufacturers, and regional distribution centers makes it one of the more active states for this role year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most operational excellence manager jobs?
The Florida cities with the most operational excellence manager openings are Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa. Miami's dense concentration of logistics, financial services, and healthcare headquarters drives the bulk of postings, while Tampa's growing manufacturing and tech sectors and Jacksonville's large distribution and defense employers account for much of the rest of the state's demand.
How can I get hired as a operational excellence manager in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a process improvement analyst or operations coordinator role at a Florida hospital system, manufacturer, or large retailer, where you support Black Belt-led projects before managing your own. Employers such as AdventHealth, Publix, and Florida's aerospace suppliers regularly bring in associates without prior manager titles and train them through internal Lean Six Sigma programs. Earning a Green Belt certification before applying significantly strengthens a candidate's profile, as does experience in adjacent roles like quality assurance, supply chain coordination, or industrial engineering.
Where can I find and apply to operational excellence manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to operational excellence manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Find roles that match your experience and apply directly to the employers posting them.
