Technology Project Manager Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a technology project manager job in Atlanta?
Target Atlanta's dominant hiring sectors: fintech firms clustered in Midtown, health IT companies near Buckhead and the Medical Center corridor, and the large enterprise technology operations anchored around Perimeter Center. Candidates with PMP certification and experience in Agile or SAFe frameworks stand out here. Networking through Atlanta's Technology Development Center and local PMI chapter events also gives a genuine edge in this market.
Which companies hire technology project managers in Atlanta?
Atlanta technology project manager roles are posted by Deloitte, Alvarez & Marsal, and PwC and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's market includes a broad mix of Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, fast-growing fintech startups, large hospital systems, and national logistics and supply chain technology companies, all of which maintain active project management teams locally.
Are there remote technology project manager jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, technology project management is generally well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements since the core work involves coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication rather than on-site presence. About 23% of technology project manager openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it one of the more flexible roles in tech. Sprint planning, vendor management, and roadmap tracking are the functions most commonly performed remotely by Atlanta-based teams.
How can I get a technology project manager job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is moving laterally from a business analyst, IT coordinator, or software QA role at one of the city's large employers in healthcare IT or fintech, where junior project coordination work is common. Georgia Tech's professional education programs and the local PMI chapter offer CAPM prep that Atlanta hiring managers recognize. Entry-level associate PM titles appear most often at mid-size SaaS companies in Midtown and tech divisions of Atlanta-headquartered banks and insurers.
Which industries hire the most technology project managers in Atlanta?
Most technology project manager openings in Atlanta sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's status as a national hub for financial technology, a major center for health system administration, and a growing base for logistics and supply chain software means these sectors consistently generate the highest volume of project management openings in the city.
