About 9% of therapist openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting telehealth platforms and some administrative or case management roles that can operate off-site.
How can I get a therapist job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is through practicum or internship placements at community mental health centers in Midtown or south Memphis, which regularly convert trainees into full-time staff. Entry-level roles like case manager, mental health technician, or residential counselor at local behavioral health facilities build the clinical hours you need. Nonprofit agencies and school-based mental health programs also hire provisionally licensed candidates and support supervision toward full licensure.
