TN Visa ERP Specialist Jobs
ERP Specialist roles qualify for TN visa sponsorship under the USMCA's Computer Systems Analyst category. Canadian citizens can enter at the port of entry the same day an employer extends an offer. Mexican citizens apply at a U.S. consulate. Employers file the supporting documentation, and no lottery stands between you and a U.S. start date.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an ERP Specialist
Align your credentials to Computer Systems Analyst
TN visa classification for ERP Specialists falls under Computer Systems Analyst. Your degree, job title, and offer letter must all point to systems analysis, configuration, or integration work. A mismatch between your credential and the listed duties is the most common reason CBP officers ask questions at entry.
Build a role-specific support letter with your employer
The employer support letter carries the filing. It must describe how your ERP work involves analyzing business requirements and designing system solutions, not just administering software. Vague letters citing only the product name (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) without explaining the analytical function draw avoidable scrutiny.
Target employers with cross-border implementation projects
ERP rollouts spanning U.S. and Canadian or Mexican operations are common in manufacturing, logistics, and retail. These employers already understand TN status and have HR teams familiar with the sponsorship process, cutting the internal education burden you'd face with a first-time sponsor.
Search TN-eligible jobs at employers with visa experience
Filtering ERP roles by employer visa sponsorship experience removes companies without recent work visa filings. Migrate Mate surfaces positions at employers experienced with visa processes, so you focus applications on organizations prepared to support your work authorization, rather than starting from scratch with unfamiliar sponsorship requirements.
Prepare for port-of-entry review if you're Canadian
Canadian citizens don't need consular approval. You present your support letter, credential documents, and offer letter directly to CBP at the land border or airport. Bring printed copies. Officers can and do request additional documentation, so organizing your packet before travel matters more than most applicants expect.
Request the TN renewal before your current status expires
TN status is granted in three-year increments with no cap on renewals. File your employer's renewal package at least 30 days before expiration. If your ERP project extends or your role expands to include new modules, update the support letter to reflect current duties, not the original job description.
ERP Specialist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an ERP Specialist role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, provided the role is framed correctly. CBP evaluates ERP Specialist positions under the Computer Systems Analyst TN category. The offer letter and employer support letter must describe duties involving systems analysis, requirements gathering, or integration design. Roles limited to end-user training or basic software administration without an analytical component are harder to support under this category.
How does TN compare to H-1B for ERP Specialist roles?
TN has no annual lottery, no cap for Canadians, and no multi-month wait for approval. An H-1B visa petition can take six months or longer and depends on lottery selection. For Canadian professionals, TN approval can happen at the port of entry the same day. Mexican nationals still go through a consular appointment, but the overall timeline is shorter and more predictable than H-1B.
What documents does my employer need to prepare for my TN application?
Your employer needs to produce a detailed support letter on company letterhead covering your job title, a description of your ERP duties framed around systems analysis, your start date, and your compensation structure. You'll also need proof of your qualifying degree or credential. For Canadians, these go directly to CBP. For Mexican nationals, they accompany the consular DS-160 application.
Where can I find ERP Specialist jobs that include TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, which means you end up screening dozens of listings manually. Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa job searches, letting you filter ERP roles by employers with recent visa filings and sponsorship experience. That saves significant time and avoids outreach to companies unfamiliar with work visa processes.
Can I switch ERP employers while on TN status without losing my authorization?
You can change employers, but TN status is tied to the specific employer named in your current approval. You must obtain new TN authorization before starting with the new company. Canadians can do this at a port of entry with a new support letter. Mexican nationals need a new consular appointment. Working for a new employer before receiving the updated authorization creates a status violation.
