Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Event Marketing Manager
Frame your degree for marketing classification
TN classification for this role depends on your degree field, not just your job title. A degree in marketing, communications, or business administration supports the Marketing category. A general arts degree without clear marketing coursework can trigger a denial.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified TN sponsors
Search Migrate Mate to identify employers actively hiring Event Marketing Managers with TN visa sponsorship. Filtering by visa type saves you from applying to roles where sponsorship willingness is unclear or untested.
Get your support letter written before the offer finalizes
The employer support letter must specify your job title, duties, and how they map to the USMCA Marketing category. Request a draft before you resign your current role so you can flag gaps before your port-of-entry appointment.
Prepare for questions about event scope and client mix
CBP officers sometimes probe whether your role is truly managerial or project-based. Be ready to describe budget authority, vendor relationships, and campaign strategy, not just logistics coordination, to support the professional classification.
Understand how Mexican TN allocation affects your timeline
Mexico's annual TN allocation is capped under USMCA. If you're a Mexican citizen, apply as early in the fiscal year as possible. Late-year consulate appointments carry a higher risk of cap exhaustion delaying your start date.

Find Event Marketing Manager JobsEvent Marketing Manager TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Event Marketing Manager role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, Event Marketing Manager roles qualify under the USMCA's Marketing category, provided the position requires and you hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. The role must involve professional-level marketing duties such as campaign strategy, brand positioning, or audience development, not only event logistics or coordination.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN has several structural advantages over H-1B for Event Marketing Managers. There's no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and the process can be completed at a port of entry in a single day for Canadians. H-1B requires a March registration, a random selection, and months of USCIS processing before you can start work. TN is renewable indefinitely in three-year increments as long as you maintain a qualifying job offer.
Where can I find Event Marketing Manager jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking TN visa sponsorship. You can filter roles by visa type so you're only seeing employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness for TN holders, rather than sorting through general job listings where sponsorship terms are vague or unstated.
Can I switch employers after I start working on a TN visa?
Yes, but TN status is tied to a specific employer. Before you start with a new company, that employer must either file a new TN petition with USCIS or you must travel to a port of entry and obtain a new TN admission with updated paperwork from the incoming employer. You cannot simply transfer your status the way some other visa categories allow.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN sponsorship?
Your employer must provide a detailed support letter on company letterhead stating your job title, a description of duties that maps to the USMCA Marketing category, your anticipated start date, and confirmation that the position requires a professional degree. You'll also need to present your own degree credentials. Canadian citizens present these at the port of entry; Mexican citizens submit them at a U.S. consulate.
